The soil of the Vallée de la Marne is characterized by a good upper soil, subsoil, terrain and water. Most of the vineyards in this region are plant with the grape variety Pinot Meunier that grows very quickly, thanks their location on the Marne River.
In the early days, the Marne River was the main trading route and it perfectly suited to transport the wines and grapes to their destinations.
