His ancestors were Emile, Joseph and Bertrand. Hugues Godmé has 40 years of experience in technical skills necessary for working the soil of its vineyard and the exploitation of his wines.
In 2006, he started cultivating biological and biodynamic wines. Hugues opens up a new reflection on the respect for the natural equilibrium of wine-growing, the environnemental effects and the wellbeing of human kind.
This philosphy and the size of the vineyard; 40 hectare of vineyards spreaded across the four villages of the Montagne de Reims: Verzenay, Verzy, Villers-Marméry en Villedommange. Hugues Godmé develops Champagnes with the subtility and intensity of the soil from which they sprout. Champagne Hugues Godmé aimes for an identity, a result of history, passion and the tradition of the Champagne area.
The history of Champagne already exists for over 350 years. Every one contributes to it on its own way. Hugues Godmé: "Today, it is our responsibilty to think and to try to produce a Champagne of good quality in harmony with the environmen".
