The Rose did not live up to expectations and we felt sorry for the French student tasked with the job of explaining a complicated process in English. We did however learn about the Cooperative movement and the contractual wrangles with intermediaries that enable smaller producers to compete and secure a reasonable return for their efforts! We had an excellent time with our host (we can’t remember her name but she was from Brittany!) she was extremely knowledgeable on lots of different questions we had about the champagne and really explained the process very well. 10/10!
