Description

Enjoy an ENGLISH guided tour and visit the magnificent cellars of Champagne House Pommery in Reims. The huge big and beautiful staircase with 116 steps will lead you to the impressive cellars (30 meters deep) where you will discover the secrets of Pommery. An elevator is available for those with mobility problems.

Discover the house's fascinating history, from the creation of its first champagne brut in 1874 to the construction of its incredible Elizabethan-style estate and invites you to discover its cellars and the chalères, true underground cathedrals dating back to the Gallo-Roman era. A commented tasting of 1 Champagne will be offered after the Tour:

I did the tour and was supposed to get a choice of a pour at the conclusion. I was told there was only one option and everyone got the same thing. I ended up not buying anything as a result.

Vergeleken met een andere tour was deze een beetje karig. De getoonde kunstwerken passen totaal niet in de sfeer en soms was de gids niet te verstaan door geluiden die bij de kunstwerken horen. Ook leidt het erg af van waar je voor komt, dat is de champagne en niet de kunst. Geen goede toevoeging, de champagne is voldoende.

La guide ne s’adressait pas à son public, n’attendait pas que le groupe soit réformé après les différents déplacements dans les galeries pour commencer à parler et était quasiment inaudible. Le contenu des explications était très pauvre; nous avons plus appris sur la fabrication en lisant les quelques lignes sur les brochures mises à disponible pour les visites non guidées. À éviter
