The parents of the owners of Champagne Sylvie Moreau have been winegrowers sinds the 1960's. After taking over the family company's lead in 1991, they continued the development of Champagne Sylvie Moreau.
The first vines were planted in 1961 and the first bottle of Champagne Sylvie Moreau was sold in 1973.
The Champagne House is situated 12 km from Reims on a small piece of the Montagne de Reims. With respect to the environnement, they have been performing the "viticulture raisonnée" (little use of pesticides) since 18 years.
The vineyards of Champagne Sylvie Moreau are spread over 3 regions:
- The Montagne de Reims
- The Vallée de la Marne
- The Vallée de l’Ardre.
The 3 grape varieties; Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay allow Champagne Sylvie Moreau to make different Champagnes. The Champagnes are stocked and matured during 3 years for the Brut Racine and 7/8 years for the Réserve Champagnes.
Champagne Sylvie Moreau uses the traditional wine press and processes its Cuvées in a stainless steel tank. The Champagne House takes good care of their grapes as well as the assembling which results in steady and high quality Champagnes.
Champagne Sylvie Moreau will be very pleased to welcome you and share her passion: "The Vine and the King of Wines"!
