Passion, dynamism and skills define well our family Champagne House, located since 4 generations in Hautvillers, the cradle of Champagne. Hautvillers, nearby Epernay, is an unique village dominated by vineyards and its abbey where the grand cellar master, Dom Pérignon, in 1681, created the first bubbles of Champagne.
Champagne JM Gobillard & Fils has been founded in 1933 by Gervais Gobillard (grandfather of the actual owners). At this time he cultivated 2 hectares of vineyards. His son Jean Marie followed himself and developed the company by purchasing vineyards and by searching new customers and new markets for its brand. In 1982, when he died in a car crash, aged of 46 years, he owned 8 hectares of vineyards and sold 50 000 bottles a year.
His 3 young sons decided to carry on his Work by creating the company SAS L’Atlavilloise (whose head office is located in Hautvillers, village of the famous Dom Perignon, today the only one village in Champagne to be listed as a Unesco World Heritage site), owner of the brand JM GOBILLARD & Fils.
Today our family business owns 30 hectares of vineyard and buys during the harvest about 130 hectares of grapes from growers selected for the expertise to be able to produce annually 1.6 million bottles.
54 % of our production is exported mainly in Europe but also to USA, Asia and Africa. The house JM GOBILLARD & Fils is one of the thirty most important Champagne Houses
