Enjoy an unforgettable experience in the heart of vineyard and learn the art of sabering a Champagne bottle !
Sabering is a unique tradition of the Champagne region whose origin dates back to the era of Napoleon. The saber is used to open a Champagne bottle.
This activity includes :
- Champagne Sabrage Experience in the vineyard* with tutorial by the winegrower (1 bottle par person).
- The bottle sabred is offered to you for Tasting on the spot.
- Share a convivial moment with a passionate winegrower who will answer all your questions
- This activity takes place at address: 1, rue de Gramont 02400 Azy-sur-Marne, located a few ten meters from the crossroads of the Church of Azy-sur-Marne. Attention, there is no sign indicating the domaine's name!

We had a wonderful few hours with Laurent. We mastered the art of sabring the champagne bottle and now know what to do with the sabre we have at home without destroying the bottle (and more importantly the contents)!
Laurent showed us his vines and was very thoughtful and happy to share his vast knowledge of champagne and the processes of making the beautiful wines.
Highly recommended- only a very small family winery and well worth the effort to travel there from Epernay.
