The origin of this historic Champagne estate located in Verzenay goes back to the beginning of the 19th century. Its cellars date back to 1820 and the first bottle of Champagne was produced in 1863. Different families succeeded one another until 2012 when the keys were entrusted to a family originally from Burgundy: the Labruyère family. Named "J.M. Labruyère" by Edouard in homage to his ancestor Jean-Marie Labruyère, the family's first winemaker in 1850 and founder of the Mâcon branch, this wine estate now has more than 6 hectares of vineyards classified as Grands Crus, on some of the most beautiful plots of land on the Montagne de Reims.
The entire team is committed to meticulously managing this estate among the elite of the Récoltants-Manipulant in Champagne. Combining traditions, sustainable agriculture, advanced winemaking, Burgundian know-how and plot selection, this approach reveals the pure and exceptional character of this terroir. Harvesting-Manipulating, 100% of our grapes come from our vineyards, and we have made the choice to preserve this architectural as well as viticultural jewel by mastering all the stages of viticulture and vinification." The dosage is carried out as accurately as possible, so that the terroir is fully expressed in the champagnes.
