The Philippart family has been established in the villages of Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes for more than eight generations. Nicaise Philippart was already cultivating vines in 1827. In 1930, Maurice Philippart began marketing his product, and "Champagne Maurice Philippart" was born. His son Paul developed the commercial side of the business, selling all the family's production in bottles of champagne. His grandson Franck joined the company in 1983, and took over from his father in 1993. Carrying on the family line, Franck continued to develop the commercial side of the business, and had to become a Négociant-Manipulant in 2011 in order to satisfy his entire customer base, which is essentially made up of private individuals and a handful of quality wine merchants selected by him.

In 2012, his son Christophe joined him, and together they will strive to maintain the spirit of a traditional family business until Franck retires in 2024, while keeping a watchful eye on the family business.

Philippart carries out all the work, from the vine to marketing, without any intermediaries.
