Comtesse Sabrage Experience

Comtesse Sabrage Experience

5.0 rating

During this exclusive visit and tasting, you will discover 3 of our great wines, associated with regional dishes, in different special places of the Domaine Comtesse Lafond where you can sabre one of these wines of your choice.
This voyage of discovery begins in the Comtesse’s cellars with an initiation into the art of sabering and a tasting of our Champagne Comtesse Lafond Extra-Brut.

The next part of this journey will lead you to the Château Comtesse Lafond, where our Champagne Comtesse Lafond Blanc de Blancs will be unveiled, accompanied by salmon Champenois de Mardeuil.
To conclude this timeless interlude, we will accompany you to the Caveau du Château where you will have the privilege of tasting our latest vintage, Champagne Comtesse Lafond Vintage 2008 accompanied by a beautiful ham from Reims.
This sparkling adventure can be concluded with the discovery of some still wines from other regions, the gems of the Domaines du Baron de Ladoucette.

To complete this experience, we offer you the possibility of sabering a bottle of Champagne Comtesse Lafond of your choice, in the gardens or in our cellar.

  • This was an amazing experience. The castle and grounds are charming. The Sabrage was the coolest thing ever! On top of all that, the champagne was very good and the 2008 was so good, I bought 2 bottles! Stephanie took great care of us and truly cares for the place and its guests!

  • Chateau Contesse Lafond was the pinnacle of our Champagne experience for a week here; it surpassed our degustation tours at six grand marque houses in Reims and Epernay and all five of us loved our successful sabrages. Florie was fantastic and fun - professional and personal simultaneously. As a wine writer and wine educator (Stanford University), I recommend this unique experience to everyone considering a private experience in the most elegant context.
