Champagne House Gruet and the Côte des Bar share a history together of a few hundred years. The House has been established in 1670 in Buxeuil.
Champagne House Gruet is located in the heart of the Côte des Bar, with emblematical vineyards of the Champagne region. Between the Aube river and the Seine, from Bar-sur-Aube à Bar-sur-Seine, you will find more than 8.000 hectares of vineyards and millions of vine stocks.
These winemakers have passed down their expertise from father to son for generations.
Consequently, some plots such as "Bas Gruet" and "Sur Gruet" still exist in de neighbouring of Neuviille-sur-Seine. This succession was fulfilled when Claude Gruet started to produce his first Champagnes in 1975.
Today, Claude Gruet and his wife share their love for the cultivation of wines and Champagnes with their son Pierre-Charles.
In this landscape of water, forests and well-exposed slopes, Claude and Pierre-Charles cultivate the noble grape varieties of the region: the Pinot Noir, the Chardonnay, the Pinot Meunier, the Pinot Blanc and the Arbane.
